Sugar is now stabilized and breathing without the oxygen tent. Her labored breathing has subsided and she has even begun to purr. She has very large puncture wounds on her back and severe bruising on her lungs. The doctors are optimistic and we hope she keeps progressing well. Thanks.

That is so awful!. We are protected from wild woofies by a big fence, but a cat-who-came-before was seriously injured by some (and that's why there is the fence).

Hi, this is Rusty's Mom. I was so sorry to hear about Sugar's misadventure and hope that she continues to improve. Wild dogs can be terrifying and dangerous. When Rusty gets home, I'm sure he'll want to send a few healing purrs to Sugar.
