Wordless Wednesday

Hello again!

It's been so long since you have seen any of us the typist thought it would be a good idea to refresh your memories. We are still as cute as ever, you can plainly see. Lots has been going on here at our house.

Christmas came and went. We really enjoyed ourselves under that tree. Scotchy especially liked to hang out under there but she would constantly test her limits by chewing on all the colorful lights. She would be quickly evicted but she always came back for more. Aunt Josey sent us some lovely presents that involved nip, of course. She really knows how to pick 'em! Sugar tried to bring home her own present for everyone, but she let it go as soon as she got in the house and forgot to make it dead first. We all tried to help get it back under paw but we just couldn't get the job done. We were too busy being shy because Meowmy's Gramma was visiting. The Food Lady finally captured it and let it out the back door. Sugar was quite insulted but she got over it when the Party Mix came out.

New Years was a bit lonely. Meowmy left us alone for the first time after her surgery. We didn't know what to do with ourselves without her here. Lucky for us she hurried home the next morning, unlucky for her it was because she was in pain cause she tried to celebrate a bit too much. She thought she was healed enough to get back to her social life, turns out she really wasn't. It took her way longer to get better than she had ever anticipated. She's only just now strong enough to get back into the swing of things.

Which brings us to Valentine's Day. We sure had a nice one! As reward for being such good nurse kitties the Food Lady got us a great present! We got a CAT TREE!! It's fantastic! It has three levels you can sit on, and you can scratch the whole thing and never get in trouble! Even when you put a BIG hole in it the first week you have it --Scotchy. Plus Meowmy got sprayable nip to put on it to help it smell nice and yummy. We also get prizes in the form of Temptations when you climb all the way up to all the platforms. Scotchy has created a maneuver that allows her to circle the main pole while lying on her side. It's truly an inspired move. Anyways, it stands in the kitchen in front of the huge windows that over look our back porch and the woods behind the house, so you know there is plenty of eye candy. It goes all the way to the ceiling! We also got our very own lazer mouse toy and have created several games the have us climbing up and down that tree. It's the best time we've had in a long time!

Oh, yeah, Meowmy said that she had a nice time on Valentine's Day with Almost Dad, Bob. He made her a seafood dinner and brought her sugar free candies and pretty rose petals. He asked her what she would like such as a teddy bear or knick knack. She asked for a 6 pack of Aquafina raspberry water instead! Weird isn't she? Actually we're quite proud of her because that was a healthy request. She has been working really hard on getting healthy. On Friday she got weighed at the doctor's office and she has lost 82lbs! Woo hoo! Way to go Meowmy! Headbonks for everyone!

We would like to sincerely thank each and every one of you who have been stopping by to continue to show your support. We have missed you all too! Your encouragement has really helped us keep Meowmy's spirits up. We hope to soon be back on a more normal blogging schedule but until then we will still be keeping up with you, our friends.

It Came!

The prize package that Stryder won for his entry in the Simply Siamese Fall Contest arrived a few days ago.

He was so proud to have won! He won the Lazy Crazy Fall category sponsored by Sassy Cat.

He couldn't wait to tear into it!

There were so many cool toys he didn't know what to think!

The mouse became a quick favorite. It squeaks when you whap it around.

After playing with the mouse for a while we headed back to the bedroom for some more playtime.

The bird was pretty yummy.

But the fish was too interesting to pass up.

After a long evening of testing out all the toys he finally passed out and had nip colored dreams.

Nipped Out!

Oh man oh man! I scored some of the best catnip I've ever had this weekend. Its 100% pure organic and fresh as could be. Meowmy cracked it open and gave it a squeeze between her fingers to release the scent and I was off on a wild ride!

First I inhaled deeply filling my nostrils with the heavenly aroma of pure pleasure.
Then I took a little nibble out of my mouse's tail to cleanse my palate.
Next I licked individual pieces of it off the blanket and savored the taste.
By this time I was in my own little world. Man what a trip! Efurrything started to get all fuzzy and look weird. It was so cosmic! I think I even started to hallucinate.
I looked around for my Meowmy and here's what I saw instead!
Ha ha! She said she likes deviled eggs but she doesn't want to be one. That catnip sure was potent. But don't worry folks I use it responsibly, Meowmy helps me to ration it to just a pinch or two efurry once in a while. After I saw my Meowmy as an egg I was ready to sleep it off. I passed out for several hours and woke up refreshed and no hangover. It was a great night to be me.

Thursday Thirteen

We are sad that Texas had to go to the Rainbow Bridge but we know we will see him again one day.
Today I thought that I would take over the blog and tell you about things we are grateful for.

1. We are such lucky kitties to have a wonderful furever home. We know that not efurry kitty can say this. We have at least 3 feral kitties that come around to have dinner with us that do not have one. If they were a little more trusting of the humans they could become part of our family, as long as they remember that I am the Queen!
2. We are lucky to have Kellykat home with us so much. She may be sad about not having found a new day hunting place but we really like having her around for all the petting and love that she gives us.
3. Temptations. Gotta love that salmon flavor.
4. Stinky goodness. I'm very picky about what I like but stinky goodness is wonderful.
5. Grandma's bedroom. I get to sleep in there all by myself at night so that those other kitties don't disturb me. A girl needs her beauty sleep.
6. Grass. We love to roll around in it and have it scratch our itches.
7. Dirt is good too. If your feeling hot and sticky dirt will cool you down and help keep the buggies off of you. Plus it has some shiny stuff in it so its very fashionable.
8. I like the berries on the ground. I use them as makeup for my white furs. They make them all purple and purrty. The dirt also does this but makes it all orange cause its that Georgia clay stuff. I love colors!
9. Soft blankets. There is a furry soft green blanket on the couch that I get to lay on whenever I want. Its nice and squishy and I use my biscuit making skills to plump it up in all the right places.
10. Outside is a wonderful place. We all get to go outside whenever we want. Its good exercise to walk around the yard and chase flutterbies and crickets and stuff. I even know how to catch a mouse when I'm in the mood. They make great presents.
11. We are also grateful for the covered porch. When it rains out or gets too hot in the sun we can hang out on the porch and feel safe and protected. It also has good shade and you can see right in to the kitchen to see if your person is around to let you in.
12. Family is next on the list. If I didn't have family I would be purrty bored with no one to swat at or hiss at. Scotchy wouldn't have anyone to chase either and Stryder would know where all of his toys are and wouldn't be able to hunt for them. Boring like I said.
13. And finally we are grateful for all of our wonderful friends that we have met here on the blogosphere. Its been so much fun getting to know all of you. We look forward to reading about you all efurryday. Its the first thing Kellykat does in the morning, its become our bonding routine. Thank you all for entertaining us and supporting us. Your the best.

Mancat Monday Fill In

Being the gracious Gentle Mancat that I am, I decided to let my mom post today. Since she was nice enough to spend some time with me on Sunday I figured it was the least I could do. While I'm enjoying my feathers, check out her addition to the Needs Meme.
Sugar Needs:

1. a drummer. A drummer? I must be in a band. Better get to practicing my keyboards and vocals. Maybe Kellykat can help me out with this, she's very musical.
2. release from control. Amen! Leave me alone, I know what I want to do.
3. more dough! Hmm...wonder if they mean dough like green papers or dough like the stuff around the center of my Temptation treats before they get baked? Either way more would be good.
4. your help. Well we could always use some help. Uhm, could you help me scratch my lower back...been having some trouble getting the right spot. Ahhh...that's nice. Thanks!
5. more time to pay debt. So that's why I need more dough. I must still owe money to my nip dealer. I sure wish we could start growing our own around here.
6. to be controlled all the time. No I don't! I already told you I know what I want to do and I don't need to be told.
7. build up her own sales force. Well, that would help me to get more dough. And I would be able to pay my debts quicker. Thanks for the tip!
8. to be a fried egg. What!?! A fried egg? I'll stick with being a cat thank you.
9. to be refridgerated. I do like to stay cool but I don't want to get in that big old box. I just like to sleep in front of it so I can see what's coming out of it. I might need a taste if it looks good.
10. to be recognized. True! Its about time I was recognized for the Queen that I am. That darned Scotchy thinks this is her house. Well, its not, its MINE. Recognize!

That was fun. I think thats the most I've had to say on this blog, EVER! It felt good to speak up for a change. I found 37,300,000 hits when I typed in my search for this meme. That's more than the other two got. That proves that I am better than them. Ha! Take that intruders!

Scotchy Needs Meme

Hi! Scotchy here. Its my turn to play the Needs Meme. Here's what I came up with (with a little help from my girl). I found 13,500 results and here are my top 10.

Scotchy Needs:

1. some love too! Isn't that cool!?! The very first thing that appeared was my own blog! It comes from the bottom of the page for all of you who are using a reader thingy. My girl posted a kissing booth down there for all you handsome man cats and silly mommy's who want to show me some love. Go on, ya know you want to.
2. to know that I did the right thing. Who did the right thing? You? My girl? Well, I'll just have to trust that you did.
3. a little help now and then. This is so true. But all the wonderful beans and kitties in the Catblogosphere are always there to give a hand when we need it most. Thanks effuryone! You rock!
4. to do is run the zip line to the top. Zip line? I don't need no stinking zip line! When I climb up on top of the roof on the sun porch I just wait til my girl comes and gets me down. But it would be kinda cool to zip down and surprise attack my stupid brofur Stryder. Ha ha ha! He'll never know what hit him.
5. to keep me company. Sure! I'll be right over. Where you at?
6. needs a miracle for 500 Alex. I sure would if I really were on Jeopardy. They are soo smart. I might do better on Wheel of Furtune. I could whap that wheel really good.
7. to learn to play. Play? There is no learning in play. You just do it. My girl says I need to learn to play nice. Now that on the other paw I could use some lessons.
8. to think on it some more. Thinking is overrated. Like if I thought about attacking Stryder too long, I might not do it cause I know I will get in trouble, but then life would be sooo boring.
9. to spend the extra money. Do they mean green papers? I don't have any right now so there aren't any extra to spend. But if there were I'd buy some more party mix kitty treats and feather butt toys.
10. to settle down before she gets tasered. That doesn't sound too good! Ok, I'm settling! Back away from the kitty.

Well that was purrty fun. I'm glad it was my turn to play. I think Sugar is gonna play next. She needs to play, she is so uptight. Whenever I try to get her to play she just growls or whaps me on the head. Sheesh!

Finally Friday--by Stryder

Yay! It's finally Friday! We stayed up late last night to celebrate early. And guess what Meowmy pulled out. My favorite toy. Feathers!!

As soon as I hear that little bell tinkle I know it's about to get crazy!

She has to keep it hidden from me cause I will kill it til its all dead. I like to chew on them and shred them with my fang. I have killed the little bouncy string on it so many times that it has gotten shorter and shorter. Now its so short that we have to play on the bed so that I can reach it!

That's ok cause I like tearing around in little circles on the blanket. But I had to settle down cause I was starting to rip holes in the little squares and Meowmy didn't like that too much. I told her it's the price you have to pay to have some fun. What's a little hole or two gonna hurt anyway?
